Bntrry is a real messaging app. You can chat normally, then switch on AI to change the feeling of a moment. Everything stays in-context, inside the conversation.
1) Chat normally. Tap the blue robot icon to turn AI off. Your choice stays that way for that chat until you change it. Text, send photos, and create groups like you always do.
2) Your defaults come from your profile. Set your default vibe and AI preferences once. They automatically apply to new chats. You can override them anytime per chat or group in Chat Preferences.
3) Turn AI on only when you want it. Keep it text-only for instant rewrites, or enable images and video when you want the full moment.
4) Original stays preserved. Every AI output keeps your original text and media one toggle away.
5) Make it yours. Be specific with prompts. The more personal and local, the better it lands.
This shows the continuity: a normal message, a friend reply in their own vibe, then you escalate the moment into an AI image or video.
running late, traffic
hurry up
make me ride a giant snail
Same idea, different moment. This is not a single use case. It is a pattern you can reuse anywhere.
i’m so broke
make me ride a tuk-tuk instead of my car
You do not need AI for every message. Turn it off when you do not need it. Turn it on when you want to level something up.
Control latency. Text rewrites are fast. Images and video take a moment because they are generated for your message.
Be specific. Try prompts like “Make this dramatic and about cats” or “Add South Bay LA references” or “Rewrite in full Gen Z slang.”
Privacy in plain English. Your original message stays yours. AI outputs are additive, and you can always keep AI off.
